About Guy

I'm moving into construction because I want work that is hands-on and ends in something physical: a building people use after the crews leave. It's a field I can grow in for the long term.

What carries over is the management side. For 8 years I was Area Director for Avión Tequila, reporting to the founder and running the Texas and Florida markets with 6 direct reports and our distributor relationships. After that I worked in software sales at Bazaarvoice and in IT, most recently as Core Support Manager at KnowBe4. In each role the job was managing people, vendors, and clients, and following through so nothing was dropped.

To get ready, I'm enrolled in the Construction Administration program (CACP) at Florida Atlantic University. I hold OSHA 30 and two Procore Project Manager certifications, I volunteer on Habitat for Humanity builds, and I ran a full mock project in Procore, documented in my case study.
